hibernating!

I am exhausted of everything. My brain has stopped functioning since 3-4 months ago. I live my life by tracking the gut feeling, trying not to bother about things around. I have stop reading good books, stop reading crappy newspaper, stop listening to new songs, stop producing and composing new songs (I’m not sure when was the last time I strum my guitar), I’m in an idle atmosphere to write new lyrics or even blogging, stop watching good movies and have stop mingle around with new friends. Not sure what is happening to me, but obviously I hate myself for that. In other word, I am now hibernating. I am officially wasting my life, doing nothing, apart from work 9-5 at the office on weekdays.

Anyway, a lot of things happened in the past few months.

On the 24th April, two of my girlfriends and I took a train to Johor Bharu. Hana, being the cutest - rascal in the family walked around the train in her Feline costume. Arrived JB at 630 in the morning, we walked to the opposite Mamak for breakfast. At 8 am, Fahmi fetched us and we continued our sleep at the Embrace Hall. The gig was actually a benefit gig for Mika. The gig ended at 9pm, and we went back to KL on the same night.
We took late-night train (with bed!) to KL at 1130pm. Before that, we had our dinner at the China Town in JB and all of us agreed to check- in cheap motel to freshen up ourselves so that we could sleep well in the train. We walked around the China Town; we’ve found a contemptible motel and straight away asked the big guy (with Motorhead patches on his black jacket) for the room rate. We told the guy that we only want to use the room for 1 hour, only for a quick shower. He said we cannot do that, but he changed his mind after he saw Hana wearing Marjinal t-shirt and started to ask us ‘baru balik dari gig ke?’
After a little chat with the guy (we paid only rm10 for the room for 45 minutes use) the guy walked us to the room. All I could say, the room was beyond dodgy. The mattress- no bed sheet + sperm map, there was no mirror at the dressing table plus scratch marks on the wall. The bathroom was beyond horror. Whatever it was, all of us went back to KL safe and sound.

Next

I met Bintang; the tiny kitten at Gudang Noisy. He is so adorable. Anyway, Gudang Noisy has completely changed; from a crusty-looking repository to a punk-family living hall. Nunu has moved in, she rent a room at the back of Gudang Noisy and the room completes with a nice balcony.

Last few weeks, Noisy has been ambushed by the blue - uniformed. I was having teh tarik at the Mamak next door and suddenly there were about 3-4 of them (not wearing their uniform) asked the kids to give them their Identification Card. Me and several friends instantly leave the place. The next thing we know, all of the kids were asked to go inside Noisy and all of them were taken to the nearest police station by 4 trucks. We waited in front of the police station in case the kids need help. At 630am the kids (negative for the urine test) were released, and the other 12 were wedged.

Next story,

My partner has moved to another place, somewhere in Bangsar. I really love the new place especially the spacious balcony. The house is so well-located plus the green surrounding totally chills my eyeballs. I still have to get use of the bathroom / toilet instead :P
The previous landlady feels so discontented after my partner told her he has to move to another place. She is like a dear sister to us. Before my partner moved out, she and her husband treated us marvelous dinner.

Next,
A good friend of mine launched his first book last week. I heard a lot of good reviews about his book and wish to go to his book launch at Annexe on this Saturday. What a friend like me could do least is to be there and support him. I wish I could go to his book launch and congrats him, face to face.

Other thing,
This Sunday a couple of friends and I will partake for a car boot sale in Shah Alam. Most of the stuff are ladies clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories, mom’s tea sets, photo frames, and loads more. We’ve done with the price tags; price will be around 50 cent to RM 30. No item will be above RM30.

The misconception of patriotism can somehow lead to destruction. It’s not wrong to be too nationalistic but if it’s too much until it leads to prejudice and discrimination then just forget about it.

Another story

On last Friday (12^th March), we were asked to take part in an acoustic show at Lepaq Cafe in Kelana Jaya by our friend for his band’s CD launch party. I arrived quite late that night because I’ve been stuck in a massive traffic jam earlier on. Lucky the show haven’t started when I arrived.

Anyway, it was the first time for all of us to be at that cafe. At first I was wondering why my friend chooses that place, but according to him, he chooses that cafe because the ambiance was quite suitable for an acoustic show and decided to give it a try. Besides us, there were also 3 other bands/ solo entertainer performing that night.

Being the second last band on that night, we decided to play only 5 songs. We did not want to bore other people since that night supposed to be our friend’s album launch party; so, we decided to keep it short and simple. With acoustic guitars and a simple drum set, we did it as decent as we could. Everything was like normal. Then it came to the forth songs. Before we played it, as usual, Hana proclaimed that the next song would be a cover song by an Indonesian band called Marjinal (just to be polite to the original band). We played as usual, suddenly our drummer stopped playing. I heard he said “why, why??” in stern tone. I saw a guy was standing beside him yelled “No Indonesian songs here”. It was kind of humiliation when the owner of the place asked us to stop the music while we were playing. He asked us to stop not because the constituent of the song but he cannot accept the song is originated from Indonesia. Yoyo and I were clueless, Hana was speechless, Cem obviously pissed off, Alak gave us signal to keep on playing and so did several of the audience while the others still clueless. I should admit; it was the most awkward moment in my entire life. Mulish as we were; we continued playing.

Right after we finished, the guy took the microphone and said “Kat sini kita tak galakkan lagu Indonesia ehh...kita patut support our local scene. Hidup satu Malaysia!!” (Indonesian songs are not advisable here and we should support our local scene. Hail 1 Malaysia!!). I was like...”what the hell?” Cem yelled “Fuck 1 Malaysia” and he left that place, whilst all of us (without Cem) managed to stay for the sake to watch our friend’s show. Keladak (my friend’s band) played all of their songs that night. Their songs were a mixture of Audioslave and a bit of stoner rock kind of music (I’m not expert when it comes to music genre, hehe). They also dedicated a song from Iwan Falls’ (Indonesian singer) – Bento to us. Thanks to Keladak, it was really comforting.

To me, music is a source of satisfaction. Without it, this world would be meaningless. Music can make you feel patriotic, spiritual, angry, happy, sensual, inspire, you name it. It stimulated the brain to think and make brilliant art. There should be no right or wrong when it comes to music preferences. It was kind of ridiculous when you can’t play song from certain Country, but frames of Bob Marley, Ernesto Che’ Guevara & The Beatles were hanging pompously on the wall. Music is universal; you lose nothing if you listen to different kind of music from different Country. There is no such thing as ‘originality’ in one song. Don’t forget, even our ‘Negaraku’ song was actually adopted from a popular French song called ‘La Rosalie’. I was wondering, how to improve our local scene if there are too much restrictions? Plus, discrimination towards certain people is not good. I mean, why should we hate each other?

When the show ended, all of us went to the nearby Mamak for a drink. Cem was there, and all of us realized maybe there are good things behind the incident. We are glad because we continued to play a song from Indonesia that night even though the owner asked us to stop.

As we passed by the cafe to the parking lot, The Cure song was played loudly by the in-house band. I just looked at that place; knowing myself well that I will never come back.

Happy Women's Day!

Women Reclaim the Night was totally awesome. I was happy because lots of my girlfriends showed up at Cloth and Clef. The place was packed with almost 200 people. Some of them cannot came in, so they have to wait outside. We were quite lucky to get a table and a place to sit inside, even though it was at the back. It was quite hard to give attention to the performers since everyone at the back were hectic socializing and mingle around.

It was a great show ever. We played electrical set that night (thanks to Joe for lending us his electrical guitar), we played 8 songs including 2 cover songs from Marjinal and Dara Puspita. The most priceless moment: when all of our beloved friends were enjoying themselves.

Anyway, Rice Above will be another excuse for all of us to skip work on the next day. Some friends told me they have to take MC and even worst; sleep in a file room at the office after a fidgety (but fun) night at the rice above.

Rice Above is a political act. Because of it, productivity of companies (and schools and government agencies) dropped drastically on Wednesday.

Cough is getting better now. Thanks to the Chinese medicine. No more sleepy sensation and the most important thing, no more phlegm. Momma introduced it to me on last Saturday and I fell in love with it instantly. Kee Wong tablet only costs RM 15 per bottle 2-3 tablets to be taken with warm water 3 times daily. I love it to bits!

Another story,

Last Saturday I received an invitation for a BBQ get-together at E’s (theme: naughty, sexy, bitchy). E is one my closest guy friends which I’ve known for almost 9 years. He’s a great guy and very cheerful person. First time I met him when I was in Matriculation College, back in 2002. We climbed tall gate together, he used to be my ‘fly’ partner on that time. Everyone thought we are couple (on that time), but hell no, E is more interested in guys. E always cheers me up whenever I’m down. Both of us still meet each other until now.

Ok, back to the BBQ night. Nothing fancy, just a common get together, but it was fun. Sue, Wawa, Marwan, Remy, Evi and E’s schoolmates were there too. I ate a lot of chicken wings and we shared lots of stories among each other that night. I think we should do it more frequent in a future!

My throat is killing me. I have taken antibiotics and I’ve drank cough syrup straight from the bottle since yesterday. Yet still no improvement. Yesterday I was on MC. I had (and still have) terrible coughs. It keeps me awake in a middle of the night. Two days of sleepless nights caused me migraine.

Yesterday

Right after I got MC from the doctor, I went to Mamak for breakfast. I had Maggie goreng and warm water just to fill up my empty stomach so that I could nourish myself with drugs which I got earlier from the doctor. After breakfast, it was still early in the morning so I decided to go to the workshop. I almost forgot March is the time for Rudy’s next check up. Anyway, Rudy is my car. He serves me well for 2 years and a half. While waited for Rudy, I walked to the pet shop across the road. Outside the shop, there were a lot of birds (in a cage of course), and when I went into the shop, there was this one little puppy grab my attention. It was so adorable; I can barely turn my head off of it. For god’s sake the puppy was so friendly. Not forgotten it has a pair of cute sad eyes, white color with brown spots. I really wanted to take her home, but I can’t. How can I take a good care of her? I don't even have time for myself. I came out from the shop few minutes after because I felt a bit sad for all the animals. They are not supposed to be locked in a cage!

After Rudy’s done with his check up (luckily it was less than hundred), I decided to stop by at food not bomb house to drop the pots, plastic plates & cups which I bought months ago for FNB. I really miss that house, the last time was in October last year, I went there for a freedom fest (Steve Towson’s show) organized by Poodien.

When I reached the house, Luna was barking. I calmed her down and realized how I miss Luna ! She has grown bigger. Poodien, Nunu, Avroco, Husni & Solar (the cat) were there too. Poodien was busy doing his thing (anyway, his new self-portrait is awesome!), Avroco and Husni were chatting at the living area, Nunu was busy adjusting pictures to be put in her blog and Solar was sleeping in a middle of the living area. Solar is a big boy now. I managed to hang out at the house for a while and later on, all of us went out for lunch at the food court nearby.

After lunch, I went back home, take meds and dozed off. I woke up at 7pm, took a shower and went to Sunway for Pips’ jamming session. Arrived home approximately at 11ish, watched dvd till I dozed off -again.

Anyway, it was my first MC for the year 2010. Have to take extra precautions so that I could avoid stupid illness such as sore throat in a future. Sore throat sucks!! However, I have to admit that it was such a nice day of MC. Sometimes I do imagine how nice it would be if I can only work three days in a week. I will get more time for friends, family and pets... Too much to ask, ey?

I went back to Momma's place on Chinese New Year..a friend of mine, J wanted to carpool but the car was full.Kesian kena tinggal..Massive traffic jam, stucked at the highway for 4 hours.

At Momma's I just stayed at home, eat and sleep. That's the true meaning of holidays, anyway.. Cooked delish food, eat and watched tv till I fell asleep. The routine kept on going..

On Monday, we went to Cameron Highland early in the morning (Momma was the one who gave suggestion to go there). Had tea and sandwich for breakfast at Boh Tea Plantation. It was not so cold on that time eventhough it was still early in the morning. I remember when I was little, that place used to be very cold. Cakap boleh keluar asap..but not now anymore.. The world is getting hotter now...so sad its happening.

We reached Survanabhumi Airport at 2030 after 2 hours and 30 minutes journey from Kuala Lumpur. The airport was gigantic and the structural design was similar to our KLIA. After we got our luggage, we took a taxi to Shukumvit. It was chaotic; Bangkok was like a concrete jungle that never sleeps. We arrive at Somerset Lake Point View service apartment at 2130, took a quick shower and went to Suanlom night market.
Suanlom market covers a huge area with multitude of souvenir stalls (t-shirts, Thai-style clothing, trinkets, woodwork items, kitchen utensils, bamboo mats, you get the idea) with a suitably giant food court, they have a live band playing on stage every night.

On the next day, we woke up early in the morning and went for free breakfast at the Hotel. After breakfast, a guy name Diamond picked us up at the lobby (I told the receptionist on the night before that all of us wanted to go to the Floating Market). The trip costs us around 750 baht/person (approximately rm75). It was a 90 minutes van ride from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. There were 12 of us in the van including Australians, a friendly couple from the UK, and some from US.
Our first stop at Samut Songkhram province was the Elephant Farm. To ride an elephant, we have to pay 600 baht/person/hour (app. Rm60) and a bucket of banana costs us around 100 baht.

Later, we headed to the Floating Market. Floating market is patronized mostly by Thais. A lot of Thais sat on the steps leading to the river, enjoying their bowls of noodles prepared by female traders on the boats. There were locals selling fresh goods and flowers and boats selling coconuts to drink or some food. After several hours at the Floating Market, Diamond told us that we will be carted to the Cobra Show before heading back to Bangkok. Anyway, I don’t really like the Cobra Show. The show was a tribute to animal cruelty. Can you imagine a Mongoose fighting with two cobras in a glass box? That was cruel! A handler made a snake angry so it lunges at him while he holds the tail, and then throws it across the pit. WTH. It was a tiring day, we arrived our Apartment at 1600 hours. At night we went to the Seafood Market to have some fresh seafood and a good Tom Yam for dinner.

After dinner at the Seafood Market, we went back to our apartment. I was quite tired, and when I was about to fall asleep, I was asked to stay awake because Tiger Show is a must in Thailand! At 12 midnight we took a taxi to Patpong area. There was a guy holds a pamphlet came to us and said ‘Tiger Show, only 100 baht. Hurry, It's about to start!’. Without think twice, we agreed and followed the guy. The place was dodgy and I told the others ‘I think it’s a scam!’, but we entered the club, anyway. The club was ruthless and there were 6-7 showgirls pole dancing in the nude. 2-3 of them are old! There were a dart trick, blow a birthday candle trick, coca cola bottle trick and more. I noticed every time people want to leave, there will be an argument at the cashier. Feeling uncomfortable, we decided to leave. I was right! I was shocked when I saw the bill stated 5,000 baht (app RM500!). WTF. There were gangsters around us, so we don’t have choice but to pay! For God’s sake, we only ordered 1 coke, 1 Singha beer and 1 jack Daniel (cost us 3,000 baht) and another 2,000 baht was for the showgirls.

On the next day, we went to Platinum Mall. Money was limited and stuff there was very cheap. Now I know where all the blogshop owners take their stocks. It was a relaxing evening tho; after some shopping, we went for foot massage (only 200 baht for one hour) & full body massage (only 250 baht/hour). For dinner we had Tom Yam again!
Next day we went to salon for pedi and meni. It was damn cheap. After lunch we headed to the airport and arrived KL at 1830 hours.
I miss Bangkok.

First, if you are fascinated to fuck around, just be sincere. Please let your fiancé knows that you are not yet ready for marriage or any commitment. I bet she would understand.

Second, learn to appreciate the existence of your fiancé. As far as I know, she is appealing. She has everything. To be honest, I am quite curious why she falls for you. My tips, if you still love her, be faithful. If you don't, just let her go. Feeling guilty is not recommended cos you are “cool”. "Cool" guy would not feel guilty.

Last but not least, your egoistic sucks, for god’s sake. You think you are superior. Hmm.. my advice; please look at yourself in a mirror, you'll be surprised cos you will find yourself completely nothing.. yup, you are nothing.

Siem Reap was totally remarkable. From Kuala Lumpur, it took 2 hours and a half to arrive Cambodia. The first thing I saw when I was on the plane, several minutes before landing was Tonle Sap Lake. It was totally huge. REALLY HUGE.

At the airport, a guy called Thy waited for us. He’s a tuk tuk driver from the backpackers lounge we were about to stay. He speaks really good English; at one glance he looks like tan Jamie Oliver, sincere and pleasant.
We stayed at Happy guest House (backpackers lounge) only for USD3 per person /night. The place was so clean and the people were welcoming. The food was okay, a plate of fried rice cost around USD 1, cheese omelet cost around USD 1.60. Basically, the food price at happy guest House will not cost you more than USD3.

Tonle Sap Lake really amazed me. We hired a tuk tuk to drive us out of town towards the river and took 2 hours boat ride (cost: USD20 per person) to Tonle Sap lake, which joins the river in shrinking and expanding dramatically with the seasons, thereby causing villagers to move their floating houses to different points.
In the evening we climbed Bakheng Mountain to watch the sunset. It was truly amazing.

On the next morning, we went to the amazing Angkor temple. It cost USD20 per person for one day pass. The place was enormous. I stumbled in front of Angkor Wat, I just can’t imagine how people can build such a powerful Angkor empire with a great architecture in a middle of a jungle. We spent almost one day for temple hopping (Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Elephant Terrace, Pre Rup, La Phrom ). At Angkor temple, I saw a lot of Cambodians speak Japanese, Germany and French glibly to communicate with the tourist. The sad part was, Cambodian Government sold the place to the multi national Vietnam Company. WTF right. I mean, Angkor temples are one of the reasons why people want to come to Cambodia, and the corrupted politicians sold it, to fatten the coffers of their breeds. What a selfish asshole!

The other 2 days, we just spent our time by cycling around the town. The town is modest, which you can find a lot of Old French Quarter, with a bit of Chinese inspired architecture. Most of the people look a bit like Malays, with dark skin. Unlike Vietnam, most of Cambodians are very fluent in English. I love the food, especially beef noodle soup at the stall. We’ve spent only USD4 for 3 big bowls of the delish beef noodle soup, lots of ‘char koay’ and jasmine tea for 3. We also went to Angkor Night market, old market, road side stalls and the Pub Street. During happy hour (3pm-6pm), a draught cost around USD50 cent a mug. Damn cheap.

I would love to go to Cambodia again.

Every time I’m stuck in a traffic jam, I will think about something that really turns me on. It is something that really satisfies me every time I get annoyed. It is really good, it makes me sweat and my heart will beat like mad. All of the negative feelings will be flushed away, just like that. Don’t get me wrong here; I’m not talking about sex or orgasm.

I’m talking about being at the mosh pit at the gig. Pushing each other, jumping, kalau nasib baik sikit, kepala akan di tendang secara tak sengaja oleh orang moshing, mungkin akan terjatuh kalau lantai licin dan tak pakai kasut jack pussel (klau nasib baik sikit mungkin akan dipijak atau terpijak oleh kawan sebelah),, brutal and aggressive music.

Sigh…I need it now!

Marriage.
No, this entry is not to announce that I'm going to get married.

Last few days, I had a conversation with my sister about marriage while we were having our dinner at kg.baru. It started when we saw a married couple, next to our table was eating without talk to each other or even look at each other faces! Their kids were there too, but there was no interaction between the husband and wife.

My sister: hey, do u think, every married couple will turn to be like that?
Me: hmmm, it depends on the individual, I guess.. (how would I know!)

Lots of times I came across couple reacted cold towards each other after marriage. It scares me a lot but to me, the feat of marriage depends on the individual. I've witnessed too much negative cases such as husband walk quickly and left his wife and kids behind at shopping mall, husband start to flirt with other woman, no romantic acts etc etc.. I think only 20% of married couples still walk hand in hand when they go out together. There are also cases, whereby wives dont really care about their appreances, they only care about children and start to neglect their husband after marriage. Hmmm..

As a child to a divorcee parent, I could conclude marriage is like gambling. No one knows whats gonna happen after you get married. Will your partner still be the same person as you know him/her on your first date or will he/she turns to be somebody else which you regret marrying with?

To me, both party should take action to make marriage a success. If you are not ready, please don't force yourself into it. Just ignore what your auntie, mom, cousins, who ever it is gonna say. It's your personal life, only yourself can decide. Marriage is just a tradition. People do it just to announce to their family & relatives that they are officially an item. That's it.

My sister said she don't really care about marriage because she got everything she wants. I dont think there's human being wants to grow old alone. Hmm, I don want to grow old alone either. I want to be with someone who can takecare of me, lovey dovey, someone I can talk to before I go to sleep, someone who can cook (oops, am I too demanding?) and spend the rest of my life happily with.

Hmmm, my eyes getting worst recently. Lasik surgery will be under my consideration now. Contact lense is a waste of time. Spectacle is not that comfy.

Finally it's confirmed. Yess, I'm going for a vacation next month! A week after Buzzcock playing in KL. Yess, double yesss.

Yeah!this is my first attempt,write a fcuking blog using my phone..damn,i feel like no life talking to myself a.k.a blogging in a middle of this stupid maxis centre...anyway,i accompany my sister to collect her i-phone. It supposed to be her birthday present which is on last august,but because of malaysians are so into i-phone,she has to wait for the new stock to arrive. So,today is the day. Hello,

It’s been a very long time I haven’t update this shite. Work at the office become routine and few weeks ago I have been shocked by new s from my Head, saying that she will leaving this Company soon. I will be boss-less anytime soon and to me it seems quite scary because the top management will keep chasing my butt until they get someone to replace the Head HR.

Fasting month was very tough for me. I know it may sound unpleasant, or it might hurt others’ feeling but to share the truth, I just don’t practice fasting. Nothing against and nothing makes me into it. I respect every human being in this world regardless their religion, race and believe. I really hope people in this world would never judge others by how they live their life. Regardless if they are drunkard, not wearing hijjab, not straight, non-practice muslim or what-so-ever, just let them be. You need to respect their choice and I would consider that as personal. For instance, last few months I’ve came across blogs that condemn other religion and the non-practice muslims, which to me is so childish. Just mind your own business, folks. You will never go to heaven if you talk bad about these so-called ‘bad people’. Stop judging others because you are NOT a God, who can decide who will go to heaven and who will go to hell.

Anyway, Raya was a bit dull, but food and friends never bore me. Who can resist good food and good friends during Raya? Nobody can, especially me. To me, Raya is just another jamboree for family and friends to get together once a year.
Last Saturday, I went to Annexe for Freedom Film Fest 2009. It was quite interesting to watch all the documentaries that mostly done by the youngsters. It was my first time, anyway. I came because a friend of mine asked me to come since one of the documentaries use The Pips song as the background music. It was such a great evening to meet old friends and new friends. We went to Jalan Alor after the event and Mar sleep at my house that night.

Another update,

The Pips will play at a small acoustic gig on this 12th October 2009 together with Steve Towson, Meor, The Garrison, Rahmat Haron (and many more!). Venue would be at Food not Bomb house, in PJ. On 31st October 2009, Pips will be in Ipoh, to be precise at Maiya Studio Ipoh for another small gig. Hope you could make it!

My partner and I were thinking to go to Siem Reap next month, but because of some circumstances, we have to postpone it. He said he needs to think about it first. I was quite shocked after he told me what happened at his work place today. I wish the best for him.

I thought the book’s author is wrong and start to save money for other book. Same things happened. I was mad and decided to bring my guitar to the music store and told the guy what happened. He took my guitar and said “lerr, gitar ni dah lari tune dik. Nanti abg tolong tune kan”..oh! malunyaaa..

Additional one year to myself. But who cares, age is just a number.

Last night he treats me dinner at Fatty Crab, The Mines. The food was quite OK, we ordered Chinese fried rice, black pepper clams, stir fried baby kailan and vege+crab meat tofu (rating: average). Not to forget, we also ordered their famous 'carte du jour' sweet & sour pepper sauce crab (rating: marvelous). The aftermath: bloated stomach.

Our tradition is simple, we usually celebrate birthday one day earlier, dine together (of course birthday dinner is differ from the usual one, at special place generally) and eat until both swell up. After that we will have a nice drink, talk about life until midnight.

There are still a lot of mission for me to accomplish. I have to work hard to get what I want in life, for sure. No such thing as spoon feeding. No way. Momma always teaches me to stand up on my own whenever I fall. Dad always teaches me to work hard, find a good job so that I could afford to buy anything I want on my own. No such thing as financial aid from Mom and Dad. They teach me how to be strong, to stand on my own feet. I feel grateful for whom I am and I appreciate every little thing that happened to me whether it is bad or nice. I love the way I live my average life, how it assembled and build my thinking.

I am thankful to have such a great life partner, understanding mom, cool siblings, rock and roll friends (I love all of you!) and friendly bosses. But of course still a lot of things for me to achieve.

p/s: owh, before this he usually gave me boyish bday stuff such as guitar, watch, the beatles books etc, but this year its quite different, he gave me crumpler cute handbag. So cute because he never buy me girlish stuff! hehe..anyway, thanks dear.i love it :) i don't care about bday present anyway,as long as i celebrate it with u.

A roadtrip surrounded by great people will never turns out to be boring.

Last Friday night, all of us slept at Suria's place. On Saturday, we woke up pretty early in the morning (6am), drove a car (thanks to bart & chacha's mom for direction), and reached Cherating at 10.30am. Since all of us did not make any room reservation, we have to stopped by every chalet to ask for room availability. We were quite lucky because there was only one room left at the Coconut Inn chalet that day. So without thinking any longer, we just agreed to check in. The room was quite comfortable and very basic. The price was affordable, only RM50/night. I love the place because of its simplicity, very near to nature and very practical. We just have to walk 1 minute to the beach, it just nearby the makan place plus the owner was very friendly (p/s: anak owner sgt handsome, tapi masih di bawah umur).
After we checked in, we changed our clothes and went to the beach. The beach was okay, but I'm quite pissed off when I saw plastic bags and diapers thrown by some irresponsible bastards. I don't understand what's wrong with these people, anyway.

Later that evening, after we lazing around the beach we make our move to Kuala Kemaman. Our mission was to find Mak Nek's stall (a very famous place since a friend of mine were still 10 years old) and tried some of their famous food. Lucky we found that place after we lost for several minutes. Curry mee, mee soup, porridge, keropok lekor, otak2, you name it, we whacked all. The food was totally awesome.

With bloated stomach we headed back to our cute room for a nap and quick shower.
At night we spent our time hanging out at a small bar called Little Bali. The food was okay (we only had drinks and snacks since all of us was still full). There were local boys swimming and surf boarding (pulled by boat) at the river. (p/s: can't help ourselves staring at the boys' six pack belly but once again, some of them are underage!too bad)

Kampung boys are adventurous compared to urban kids. I love seeing them swimming in a river late at night, fishing etc, compared to urban kids, most of them only know how to play Play Station at home..or maybe the most adventurous thing urban kids did is sneaked out and go clubbing?haha what a boring life!

Hmm, there were also live bands and birthday celebration for the bar owner that night.

We went back to our room late at night, have a chat at our room's veranda and fall asleep.

The next day, after we had breakfast we went to the beach again.
Lazing around and mandi laut until the afternoon.

Balik bilik and mandi nude ramai2 kat shower.

We checked out late that day.

Before we headed back to KL, we stopped at Temerloh for a nice lunch. I have to admit that ikan patin gulai tempoyak was totally scrumptious!

We reached KL at 6pm.

I only spent rm100 for the whole trip! What a great weekend... Maybe we should plan for other roadtrip next time.

Yeap,
Finally I cut my hair short!
This time, really short.
Last Sunday I went to SAW at KLCC and met Elle, the hairstylist.
I've made an appointment with Elle earlier and when I arrived SAW, I saw him at the counter, I smiled and said "I want short hair". He smiled and said "yeah, your face is suitable with short hair..Ok, be prepared. It's time for you to say goodbye to your hair now,"

Anyway, it's been almost a week since I had short hair.
I'm loving it, I save a lot of shampoo and time!
It makes me feel alive. Thanks Elle!

When I came to the office on last Monday, one of my colleague came to me and said "hey, what happened to you on weekend?"
i said "nothing happened, why?"
he said "are you stress or your boyfriend ran away?"
i said " haha, why you say that?"
he said "of course la, women only cut their hair short either when they are stress/depress or bf ran away!"
i said "what the hell...haha,nope, im just bored with my long hair!that's it"

Hmm..our plan for Cherating trip is still on. Im glad because its been 2 years now since Suria, Chacha, Yoyo and I went for vacation together. How time flies!

A dear friend of mine at work told me she felt very dissapointed with her partner for not telling her the truth. She said her partner has been transferred to the other state because of work, and now they are meeting each other only on weekends. Last week, she secretly set up something on her partner's handphone, so that she could read all of the incoming smses. Unexpectedly, she found out her partner always text this one lady, and she knows something is going on between both of them..

Personally, I feel sorry for her.

However, I still believe that it is needless to invade other people privacy even though that person is your soulmate. It will makes you feel restless day by day and the result, faith that you have built with your partner will fades away. To me, no faith meaning no relationship. Simple as that.

If your partner did something not cool behind your back, just keep believe in karma. Karma works all the time. Life is like a cycle, one day you will be on the top, maybe on the other day you will be at the bottom. Karma can be very mean. If today you did something bad to other people, one day other people will do bad to you.

Please don't feel bad to be sincere. For instance, if you don't have feelings towards your partner anymore, just be sincere. Just talk and be honest. I know it hurts, but it is better than your partner figure it out by him/herself. Even worst if he/she know it from other people.

Karma really is a bitch. Believe me!

We are goin' to Kuala Kangsar on July 4th..Still thinking, should i drive or be a teenager again-take a bus? hehe. Hmmm I think it's better for us to drive since we've got to carry along our beloved boyfriends (my sexay acoustic guitar & yoyo's bass, crane).

Uh! Today is Yoyo's birthday. I am quite broke this month. My wallet got serious injury because of car roadtax & insurance renewal plus The Pips recording that day. However, as a professional online shopper, I've found a cool website and bought Yoyo a very cute & useful gift online, not more than RM40 (delivery charge is free). I was quite happy because that cute little thing is useful for her, since she just bought a brandnew mini laptop last week. It's not about a tradition to give a friend present on her birthday, but more to appreciation token for being such a cooolest friend on earth! it's not about i have to give her present but its more to i want to giver her a present. Hope she'll love it. Going to meet her at Midvalley tonight, and catch some japanese film at Japan Film Fest.

Finally we did it!
Last friday was awesome. We went to Zahid's studio at Shah Alam for recording. Started at 1am, finished at 7am on Saturday. I was like zombie, did not sleep for 24hours. We managed to record 6 songs, and so far I'm satisfied with it :) Poor Hana, she was a bit tired that day but she did a great job. Everybody did a very good job :) Pity The Pips. No pictures, due to broken camera.

After I had breakfast, I went back home and had sleep at 8am. At 10.55am, I heard my sister yelled at me saying that mama already arrived KL. I can't help myself so I continue sleeping. At 11.15am I heard mama's voice (with a very high pitch tone) yelled at me "haihh dah pukul berapa ni...tak bangun lagiiii..' On that time, I can't open my eyes, I can't move, I did not give any respond to my mom.

11.35am, I woke up (sebab kesian mama) and mandi. Had lunch together and accompany mom shopping.. kepala ting tong on that time..

5pm, we reached home, I had my tidur petang.

7.30pm, I woke up and get ready for dinner.

8pm we went to Asia Cafe for dinner. Had butter crab & char kuey teow.

11.30pm, reached home and terus tidur..

Self Retreat

My recent trip to Aussie was great. Amazed of their futuristic tall buildings and fine-looking old church. I spent 10 days there, stayed at our friend's apartment at South Yarra. I managed to travel to the other suburbs, went to Port Campbell, the fisherman village and witness the most amazing view at the Twelve Appostles. Got a chance for steam train ride (puffing billy) at Dandenong Range, dawdle around the city, went to Crown Cassino at night and had an evening walk at the park. The weather is ooo-kay, end of autumn and it was cold! 9 degrees and I only brought a pair of termal clothing!

I was quite lucky. I managed to catch up Tom Gabel's show at Richmond. I went crazy like hell...For all this while, I listen to Against Me, and for God's sake it happens that he's performing in Melbourne while I was there. I went to the gig alone, anyway. My sister and other friends are broke (i guess they are just using that excuse not to go!).

The show supposed to start at 8pm, but I came a bit late, at 9pm. After I bought myself a drink, I walked slowly to the first row. And...Tom was there, tuning his guitar... The show started and everyone screamed like nobody business. I saw this one guy, standing in a middle of the crowd, wearing leather jacket with 'Against Me' patches all over his jacket.

While I was busy taking pictures, there's one lady approached me. She helped me to take pictures and we talked and enjoying music together.

Tengah syok-syok, one big mamat punk came to me and asked me what am I drinking. After I answered him, senang hati he 'pau' my drink...terus potong! He was like berlakon friendly dengan aku. cis!!

Before I left I bought some stuff at the booth, and rushed to the train station. It was 11.45pm on that time and the last train was at 12.

When I was at the train station, I noticed theres no sign to South Yarra, so I started to ask people around. They said I have to go to Flinders street and after that I have change train to South Yarra. My phone suddenly battery kong, tak sempat read direction message from my sister. Slumber redah.

I arrived South Yarra station at 1am, cos I waited for 40 minutes at Flinders street for another train to S.Yarra. When I reached S.Yarra, I saw my sister and her friend waiting for me with their worried faces.chaos...

Mengantuk.

Terasa macam nak cakap dengan diri sendiri. Dah lama tak bercakap dengan diri sendiri. To me, talking to myself is like self-meditation. Very comforting & relaxing.
My working life is stagnant now. Few weeks ago I learned how to handle ESOS (Employee Share Option Scheme) when my Manager was on leave. Once harga saham naik, mula bosses menganggu hidup. Bosses macam takde kerja, setiap hari tengok harga saham Kencana naik ke turun. Haihh.

Last year, several of selected staff were given shares, and proud to say, I am one of them. I was given 15,000 shares to practice this year with affordable practice price. Sekarang harga saham Kencana macam sudah naik, tapi aku tak cukup duit nak beli.

I wish I'm a billionaire. Macam-macam benda nak beli, banyak tempat nak pergi lagi.
Nak jadi bos. Terasa malas kerja tak payah datang kerja.
Boring duduk rumah, pergi shopping atau travel. Kalau boring lagi, baru pergi kerja sibuk-sibuk kat office. Best kan...

Pagi-pagi baru keluar daripada kawasan rumah, tengok kiri kanan, kiri takde kereta, kanan ada kereta tapi terasa sempat keluar simpang. Tapi rupanya kereta tu laju, terpaksa break terkejut. Terus terasa hari ni tak best. Sampai office, kerja semua dah siap, takda kerja pending pun, office pun tak busy. Buka website MAS, tengok harga tiket pergi New York. Return flight RM26,800. Mahal nak mam... terus rasa tak best.

Malam ni, Adeline asked me to join her play futsal at OU. Dah bersemangat bawak baju & kasut skali kene pospone lewat kul 10mlm...hmmm. still thinking nak join ke tak...On the way to office pagi tadi, tengok traffic light lama-lama, rupanya ada bintik-bintik kecik yang sangat geli....euwwwww...terus tak tengok traffic light. Tak sedar dah greenlight, kene plak horn dengan orang belakang..haihh..semua tak kena harini. haihhhh...

I'll be away for 2 weeks.
Yay! i can't wait for that. Been very busy at the office lately. It was so hard to take care of all the bosses. They caused me headache :)

I have settled everything. Need to go to EPF and do the payment for company afterwards. And...need to go to clinic after work for anti-influenza injection.
Noen and Yoyo asked me to join them for dinner tonight. But I haven't do packing yet....hmmmmm...okay got to go! da!!

Fear Factor

I'm just an ordinary jane that afraid of height, pain and dark. But to overcome it, I always tell myself, “fuck!! I can face it!!” and I will usually try to handle it.
For instance, when I was little, I’m afraid of dark. To me, to be in a dark room / place is unsafe because on that time I believed that ghosts are every where. It takes time for me to force myself to look around when I walk alone in a dark. Now, if I pass by a big tree or an abandoned house, I will take a look at it like waiting for the ghost to come out. After that I am not afraid of dark-anymore because it just a feeling that we create to scare ourselves.

The same goes with pain. I did lots of piercing to overcome the fear of pain. The biggest fear was when Sonno, a friend from Yogya came to KL. That was the first time I feel it by myself and thought, needle is cruel. Someday, I want to try bungee jumping to overcome the fear of height. I wanted to dive into the dark ocean and find out what’s in there actually. I want to do sky diving as well.

As a conclusion, I WILL TRY EVERYTING TO OVERCOME FEAR.

BUT NOT FOR THIS ONE!! I will die if I see tiny holes / round image placed side by side. I can’t stand it!! I’ve tried but I just CAN’T! I HATE MYSELF FOR THAT!!! I hate acupuncture stones at the park (yeah, I’m weird, so what??) and I HATE the breast picture that I’ve found when I was blog hopping yesterday. I’m using this image as my PC wallpaper now. There are still A LOT of countries that I need to stopover. Next target would be Sabah (probably end of this year-still trying to persuade several friends to take scuba diving license with me!) and Thailand (hopefully in Jan). Now I just want to focus on this month’s trip. Hmm, can’t wait for next week :) the 2 weeks leave has been approved last month and I hope it’s all worth it. I haven’t do visa yet, hopefully I could settle everything by today. Hell yes, I want to try bungee jumping (if I have enough cash and if I have guts) and HELL YES, I want to watch ‘AGAINST ME’ acoustic show. I CAN”T WAIT for the excitement but I don’t want to get over excited!!

This guy is one hell of magnificent person I’ve ever known.

He is outspoken, independent, helpful, brilliant, bold, but sometimes can be very timid. He enjoys spending his free time at Borders and he loves food. He eats almost everything! When he gets his payment, he will buy a lot of books for himself and he’ll bring me to the best restaurant/stall/hawker. We love to try different kind of food. Sometimes I cook for him. His favorite is my assam pedas fish (that’s what he said).

Other than that, he spends most of his time working. I should admit that he is a workaholic guy. Don’t ever talk to him when he’s doing his work, he will totally ignore you. His Macbook is like his second girlfriend (perhaps, no 1 gf??), he’ll cart it everywhere he goes without fail. As a designer he always don’t have time for himself, but I can see that he tries so hard to spend his time with me, his friends and mum.

He treats me as a partner. We figure things out together, we discuss about things together, he is free to do whatever he likes and so do I. Both of us never belong to each other. We are belonging to ourselves and we are free to do whatever we love to. Only trust and integrity in relationship are matters. Argumentative between me and him makes us awake and it helps to improve ourselves to a better person.

I could say that he is my best friend, my partner and my rival as well.

Love the conversation that we had with Cem on last weekend. The conversation took place at Jalan Alor after we sweat like pig at Bad Omen gig at Noisy ampang. (how many 'at' laa)

hahah, that words remind me of my University days..so lame but interesting, anyway.

I think I am introvert. I only can be extrovert to introvert people. If someone ask me to crash other people's party, I will end up socializing with people that Im familiar with. I HATE myself for that!! At the workplace, I am quite extrovert. I dont have problem to socialize at all. I'm confuse with myself. If i hang out with new people, it takes time for me to fit it. I notice, I am not a type of person who take the first move to ask somebody's name or to start the conversation (THAT MEANS I AM INTROVERT TO STRANGERS). I wish I could change that. I wish I have guts to make new friends everytime i go to party/event.

Oh yeah, we thought about print a statement t-shirt for ourselves, but with different statement.
I was thinking.....this statement for myself:

"I AM INTROVERT & i love rock n roll"
and i would wear that shirt to party/event, so that extrovert friend will come near me and ask my name.haha. And yeah! we were thinking to organize party for INTROVERTS only.hmmmm cant wait for that!

I'll be in Ipoh on this coming weekend. Usually I will just spend my time at home, eat and sleep, or go to the hair salon (cos its cheap). Since my cash is quite low, I don't think I could go to the salon for hair treatment. VERY INTERESTING STORY. I don't get the real picture of the movie when I watched it for the first time. It's quite complicated. I get to understand the whole story when I watched it on the second time. Very sad movie. Tiba-tiba Jim Carrey kelihatan handsome dlm movie ni. Mungkin sebab dia berlakon watak serius. I love Kate Winslet in this movie. Awesome!

3. EDWARD SCISSORHANDS
EVERYONE KNOWS. I loveeee this movie.... I love the outfit..I was 8 years old on that time. Masa tu cerita ni keluar kat TV2. Masa ni first time fell in love dengan lelaki yang bernama Johnny Depp...

WOW.

This is the third entry of the month. I just feel like writing recently. Not really a writing, but kind of meditation, talking to myself.

Yesterday one of a good friend of mine when I was studying in UNIMAS came for an interview at my office. Luckily, the interview went well. Hope she'll get that job.

[3 days back, my director was asking for my help to hand him some resumes for the job opening. The moment I handed him the CVs, I remembered that I have a friend who needs job badly. So I called her, asked her to email me her resume, and she did. Before this, she's working with DELL in Penang and because of the recession, shes been retrenched.]

Sometimes, I love my job very much. Sometimes I hate it. To understand 1001 types of human behaviour is the most difficult task to handle. Rules and regulations in the Corporate office really makes me dizzy. Formal office attire, office politic, sitting in front of PC etc etc. But what to do, sometimes I just love my job. I love whenever new staff joining in, I will be the one who knows about it first. I love interviewing people, I love interacting with different types of people. Its all about people, anyway. And, ermmm, not to forget, its a well paid job. Of course its about money as well. hehe.

Sometimes I think it would be pretty interesting if I were a hairstylist. I can wear whatever I want to work. I can wear hot pants on sunny day or just wear my favourite jeans to work. Should be no problem. No need to sit in front of the wardrobe each night thinking what to wear to work. No need to spend 10 mins ironing clothes before go to sleep. I can color my hair to any color I want. I can perm my hair whenever I like, cut it short when Im bored, makes other people look beautiful with their new haircut. Hmmm..Sounds interesting, ait..

The other dream job would be, scuba diving instructor. Can't imagine spending time at the island, meeting new friends, dive into the other side of world and of course travelling to all of the beautiful islands.

Or to be a lecturer? Maybe it sounds a bit boring and casual, but its kind of interesting job to me. Dealing with teenagers and be the coolest lecturer ever in the University. Change the way of teaching, change the students' mind set. Cool, eh? And of course, its a well paid job.. hmmm..

Anyway, I have to work because I need money. I need money because I need to travel.
WORK + WORK = MONEY
MONEY+ MONEY = TRAVELING

The most important thing I want to do now is, to TRAVEL
Dont ask me when I want to get married, because its not what I want to do right now.
I just want to travel all around the world. I dont care if Im broke at the end of the month, cos its all worth it.

Introducing a lovely friend of mine, Miss Haruka Hana.

She's an independant artist, I could also say she's an activist and a feminist.

If you got a chance to browse her collection, in most of her drawing you will notice a girl with bandages all over the face. I've asked her once long time ago, who's the girl in her drawing, she said the girl is just nobody. Then I asked her again, why you cover her face with bandages? Then she replied, "because she's ugly". I know she tries to portray herself in her own drawing, BUT BELIEVE ME, she's not ugly, at all.

To me, Haruka Hana is adorable and beautiful. She's one hell of brave lady I've ever known. She's independant and she got a very beautiful voice. I love the way she dressed which remind me of Anime cartoon character. One friend tagged her in Facebook, so I decided to stole some of the pics and write something about her caracteristics which differentiate her from others.

I just hang out with her last week. She just came back from a long journey, she spent 2 weeks cycling from KL to Penang. So, guys, what are you waiting for, she's single for god's sake :))

FCUK.
I want to have a short hair but I'm too scared to cut it off. Too scared if it makes me look skinnier. When i look at the photo album, my hair is just the same since (i dont know when) but it just the same fuckin hair style. *blerghhh* Okay, forget about the lame hair story for a while.

On the last two weeks I hang out with ayie. I had nothing to do on Saturday so I went to her house to have some fresh veggie. We ended up laughing over some stupid jokes and after that went to Sunway Pyramid for dinner with Pika, Lin and other friends. Haha, it was my first time going out with Pika and Lin for girly girly outing, anyway. Before this we just met at gigs and never hang out after had good time together at shows/gigs. It was on the Earth Hour day so, some of the restaurant switched off the lights for one hour. Went to Helo Bali for the first time (yeah, I seldom go to clubs!) but I really enjoy myself for being surrounded by cool girlfriends and some of the cute chinese guys :) hehe. Reached home at 5 a.m, for god's sake!

Nowadays, life is just average. Have to save money for the next trip, which happens to be next month!. But what to do, human are weak, I just cant stop myself from being an on-line shopper addict. Things getting worst since I know how to use Maybank2u and CIMB clicks (yeah, I'm quite old-fashion). Even worst if I have to spend my weekend in KL doing nothing, which I will end up buying more clothes and thinking about buying new wardrobe for extra storage. My cash is getting low nowadays, so I have to swipe my sister's credit card so that I could buy winter jacket for myself for our next trip. (i dont have credit card, and i dont want to have one). Damn it...I need courage to stop buying and start saving!! I feel like i want to slap myself for over spending this month!!

Dealing with bad service!

Last week was hectic, I had to attend a one week training program at Petaling Jaya. The training was good, it covers everything I need and the trainers were great. *ok enough about work*

Anyway, I have to admit that service quality in Malaysia is like sh*t.
Last two days, I took a half day leave because I need to send my car for service. I have called the service centre for an appointment a day before. They put me at 1.30pm schedule. I arrived there at 1pm. I gave them my car key, and after a brief explanation about what they want to do with my car, I was asked to wait at the waiting area. While waiting, I watched TV, I fall asleep, I woke up, I read almost all of the magazines but it still not done. It was 3.30pm on that time, so I decided to ask the 'customer service' lady when can I get my car back, she said it's still on que. I questioned her what is the purpose to have an appointment if I have to wait that long in a very 'good' manner, maybe a bit sarcastic, (and tried so hard not to loose my temper), but she just kept quiet. I went back to the waiting area, keep myself calm and I got my car at 5.30pm that day.. [ what a bad day! :( ]

Not only that. Yesterday, I face the same problem at the bank. There were six counters there, but only ONE was open. It was so terrible!

Last month (on February) I went to the Post Office to renew my driver's license, there were 7 or 8 counters but only TWO opened. Lotsa people were waiting, so I threw the waiting number away and went back home. (p/s: I have not renew my driving license until now, it's been a month i guess). But I just don't care!!

Last night was very tiring. Whew..I went straight to swimming class after work, and yes, I have little obsession towards swimming nowadays.hehe. It was raining anyway, but Bob said it is okay to swim. Bob is my swimming instructor. He's been very strict yesterday, he asked me to swim non-stop until my feet cramp. At 8 p.m I took a shower and went to Bangsar for dinner. I was starving so I decided to eat veggie meal on banana leaf and fried chicken + fresh orange juice without ice. Nyum nyum..

Oh yeah,

You people should watch 'Slumdog Millionnaire'. For those who watch Oscar recently will know. This movie has been nominated for 10 Oscars, directed by Danny Boyle. It is about a boy from the slums of Mumbai won 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants to be a Millionnaire" TV show. Good movie, okay, go and find the dvd now!

Ehem..Okay everyone,last night we introduced our new band member, chem the chemist! The only guy (polite guy) in the band! hehe..We love you chem!

He went to toilet 2 times before the show started and said "Gua nervous sialll'.. hahhaha.. Go chem!

There was a guy called Full Chin from Japan, he was good! I love the way he strummed his guitar. It just a solo acoustic performance, but the sound he creates was solid.

A band from Swiss called 'Dying in Motion' was great too, their performance was soo energetic. As usual, the place was hot and steamy but we don't care because the bands were great.

Why people should bother about other people?

I am petite, and yes, I admit that I am underweight. But I have appetite to eat. I love food. I would feel guilty if I skip my breakfast. I eat without limit, because I know I have the difficulty to put on weight. I rarely take fast food, I usually take healthy food.
My mom and my sister are petite too. My mom said when she was at my age, her body was exactly like me. Because of genes or high metabolisme, perhaps?

Several years before, when someone told me that I am skinny (in a very harsh way), I usually ended up emo sepanjang hari. But if you telling me that now, I will just give you my sweetest smile ever :) ehhehe.. yeah, you can call me crazy but, for god's sake, I don't care anymore. To me, human are different. Ada yang tall, short, thin, fat, semua pun menarik dengan masing-masing punya specialty. Ada lelaki suka perempuan yang chubby, sebab chubby cute :), ada lelaki suka perempuan kurus and leper, macam model :) hehe, ada perempuan suka lelaki jambu, ada perempuan suka lelaki kurus, ada yang rasa lelaki boroi cute, haha, etc etc. Whether you are gemuk, chubby, kurus or super-kurus, it doesn't matter, as long as you are healthy. Come on, love yourself!

My head is spinning

My head's dizzy.
I've been having fever and cough since last week, precisely on last Monday.
I went to a doctor and have finished taking the antibiotics, but still have the fever, so I went to a doctor for a second time on last Sunday. The doctor decided to take my blood for dengue test.
Geez. I hate getting sick for God's sake :(
Anyway, I don't think it's dengue.
Like few days ago and until now, I feel dizzy whenever I'm in a car and will end up by throwing up. I don't know what is wrong with me. I don't have appetite to eat and I feel unhealthy so badly!
My dad's answer is simple, he said it's probably just a 'year end sickness', WHICH I HATE MYSELF SO MUCH FOR THAT!!!

Because of this strange sickness, I have to take MCs, two times for the month of December.

Because of these MCs, I dont think I could take leave on this Saturday, 20th (definitely cannot take leave if I still want to work here), which means I cant go to Kuantan for Cherating Gigs. I have to go to work or else, my boss will definitely kick my ass.
So, no gig for me this weekend because of this strange weirdo sickness.

At first I was over excited about this party. 30 minutes before the sound check, I pissed off. Towards the end of the party, I found it amusing.

I had so much fun at the LGBT party on last Saturday. It was held at Club 69, opposite Maison at Heritage Row. I never been there before, and that was the first time The Pips were asked to play at the club. LGBT is actually stands for 'Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transsexual' and the purpose of the party was to celebrate the community that has been discriminated by the majority.

I would say that the organizer was a bit too rush about this party that she even forgot about the most important thing for this event, the music equipment. At first I've been told by her that we will be provided with a full set of music equipment during that night but 30 minutes before the sound check, she said there would be no drum and amp. we brought our own amp (lucky we have one), and played acoustic that night. Anyway, thanks to the great audience for the wonderful support :) We loveee youuu.

Haihh..
It's been almost a month I haven't update this crap. I've promised to myself once, if I have free time, I will write. I just write for myself, and I'm 100% believe that no one will read this blog except me.haha.

Yesterday I browsed MEF (Malaysian Employer Federation) website and something interesting caught my eyes. They offered a one year course of Industrial Relation and I believe I need to attend that. In my University days and until now I'm officially sucks in Labour Law. I have called the person in charge, and she said I'm late. The class has been started since last month for module 1, but according to that person in charge, it's never too late for me to participate the second module starting February '09. The class will be conducted every Sunday from 9am-5pm. Whew. Can you imagine? Every Sunday, 9am-5pm for one whole year? Ehem.. I think I'm willing (or I have to?) to sacrifice my Sunday for that :)

I think I can deal with study on every Sunday but the only problem that I need to re-consider is, I need $$$$$.$$ for the fee. Hmmm...I don't want to ask ma and dad for that..I'm thinking about taking personal loan and I will pay it every month. Still need to mull over about that. I don't know which bank offers lowest interest and I need time to find out about it. The deadline for the registration is on this comin December (end of December), which is...4 weeks to go.
Sorry for complaining too much. I'll figure out a way. Damn*

Oo yea. Forgot to tell you my beloved e-diary, The Pips have found good drummer. Last night we had jamming session with our new drummer, and he's good. Anyway, he is the old tele-friend of mine (long story). We never try our songs with drum beat before, and at first, personally I found that our songs sound weird with drum beat. But after one hour and a half, I think it's okay.

I always believe that things happen for a reason.

Even though it is painful to swallow, you have to move forward. Don’t look back, just move forward…until you reach two consequences; fail or success.

If you meet success, you are considered lucky. But if you don’t, just remember that things happen for a reason. Take it as your life experience, and you will be the happier person on earth.

Human tend to make mistake. But all we need to do is just move forward. Don’t look back. Remember? Don’t look back. Never regret in whatever you do, because things happen for a reason. Mistake is the only way for revolution. If people don’t make mistake, there would be no revolution. Things would become dormant without revolution. By making mistake, people will learn their lesson. People will realize what is valuable to his/her life. Bare in mind, do not repeat the same mistake, be better and appreciate what you have in hands.

Forgiveness is one of the greatest things in life.

If someone hurts you, just open your heart to forgive. Human tends to make mistake. Just move forward...until you reach two consequences; fail or success. If you believe in your heart that you will success, it might be a success. BUT remember, it must come along with effort, to make it comes true.

It is a life-long process.

Life is a try and error. Life is like gambling. Life is like a plain white canvas, it depends on how you paint it.

Im so sleepy..

Lotsa things happened recenly. Eva died, Yuen didn't get scholarship to study abroad, practicing for gigs on Nov 8th, miscommunication with him, work at the office becomes stagnant etc etc.

Since I was little, I have a visual of myself accompanied by a big-golden brown-dog, jogging down the hill in the morning.

I want a dog, but now I live in a small apartment. Mom and Dad stay in landed house, but of course, they wont let me to have one. I'm just a girl who live in a small apartment with no elevator. Plus, Im working 5 days a week (sometimes 6 days a week) from 8.30am - 5.30pm, which makes me dont have time for myself. How am I going to have a dog?

I hate festive season for god's sake.
I have to sacrifice my annual leave for a long holidays, which otherwise I can use it for other getaway or for backpacking. I have to sacrifice my annual leave for family gathering, where people talk and brag about their life achievements, wear the best clothes on and being nosy about other people. FUCK all that.

Sometimes I just dont get it, why people willing to torture themselves, spend lots of money for festival until at the end of the day, they dont have enough for themselves?
People spending extra money for the 'ang pau' and for the preparations, give food to other people that who dont even care about them, even worst to people who talk bad behind them. I jus dont get it.

Whatever it is, its up to you how you gonna spend your money to, but always bare in mind, being mediocre in life is a bliss.

I just dont like festive season. I hate it.
Me and mom meet each other almost everyweek, so I dont see any relevant why should I celebrate this festival and even worst make it into something that really special? To me I can always do it on usual days. And yes, I did it most of the time.

I want to run out of this norm of life. Settle down somewhere else.
Out from this comfort zone AGAIN.

Long time ago I choose to stay in Sarawak on my own just because I need to go out from my comfort zone. 3 years in Sarawak, life became so comfortable.
So I came back to KL and the same thing happened.
Everything is just so comfortable so I decided to stay in the beautiful Island. Things became usual plus hell so I came back here again.

Now my head starts to think about getting away AGAIN!

Last weekend was great. I went back to Ipoh for 4 days, and I'm so glad that I manage to met up with Ikh, Katik and Sue. It's been a very long time I haven't meet them, except for Katik, which I last met her on July.

It was awesome spending time with mama and just lazing around all day long. I ate a lot if I'm in Ipoh. I just cannot resist mom's good food :) I love food more than anything.

I love Chinese food. Assam Laksa, Char Siew Pau (nyum nyum), Steamed Chicken, Char Kueyteow, Prawn Mee, Oaster Ommelette, Chinese style seafood, owh too many to announce! Malay food such as Nasi Lemak, Nasi Dagang, Rendang, Nasi kerabu etc etc. Indian Food, Western food, oh! not forgotten Rosti with Bacon and cheese..Beef lasagna, big apple donuts, roasted chicken, ayam kicap, sambal udang, ayam penyet, DAMN IT! I love talking bout food when Im starving.

I just got back from the Management Retreat at Cameron Highland. I was there since last Sunday, helped the Corporate Communication Manager to organize and coordinate the event. This workshop is for Directors to sit together and discuss about the Company’s future. Everything was fantastic; I have the opportunity to mingle around with the Directors and their spouses, and have to make sure the event runs well.

I stayed at Cameron Highland Resort, for 2 days, and shifted to The Smoke House on the 3rd day. The food was okay and the service, I could say, tip top. Haha, The Smoke House was quite spooky; it’s an old cottage and the interior decoration makes me feel like home.

Meeting was okay, all the directors managed to cool down even though the ingredient of the agenda was brutal (Cold weather impacts their temper, I guess). As husbands busy with meeting, I organized a day trip for spouses and kids. We went to Strawberry Park, Tea Plantation and Flower Nursery. Yeah.. we had fun

Ehem..ehem..
The best part of the event,
Mr.*** gave me i-pod Nano 4GB as a complimentary gift for helping him. He gave it to me and Kak linda. When he handed the thing to kak lin, kak lin was so happy and automatically said "wow.i love you lah en.***!" and.. I dunno what to say so, I just said "love you en.***" (while smiling because i'm happy, and hope the tone is full of sense of humor) and suddenly situation changed which things became awkward, he just looked at the box without looking at my face. ahahhah! I am so regret, seriously! And I added "for the i-pod!". Damn it. And then he said "ooo, you girls only love me after you received the i-pod,huh". hahha.

Hmm..
It’s raining now and I’m back to the office.
Feel exhausted, but got lot of things on the tray to be done.

Last night was awesome.

Eventhough the show started quite late, it still worth it cos the crowd was greaaattt.

When it comes to our turn, it was nearly 12.30 am.

We decided to play our old song, 'Alrite' (a song to motivate people to always be an optimistic), and of course, followed by 'Ashes in The wind', 'Change' and the last song was Marjinal's(my very very very favourite band), 'Hukum Rimba'.-acoustic version of The Pips.Hehe. The crowd was very overwhelming, they even helped us to sing. Haha. Obviously, Haruka Hana was happy cos everybody sang along with her. :)..

Oh! I enjoyed other band as well such as, 'Always Last', 'Akta Angkasa', 'FRU', 'Fall to their Death', 'Lord Sunny Day'-(oh! i love their songs!), 'Alchemy of Sickness' & 'Sarjan Hassan'. Erm, 'FRU' was goooddd.

Ok, I am sucks in writing report. Whatever it is, I had so much fun :P

Last night I slept at 3am.

I woke up at 8am, this morning.

Now I'm at the office, working on Satuday..

DIY Femme Fest - Smash Sexism, Smash Patriarchy!

If you are free tonight, please come to Studio Shop in Wangsamaju for DIY Femme Fest. Supposedly we should have this gig at One Cafe, but under unreasonale circumstances, we have to change the venue, at Wangsamaju. Many friends said the space is quite small (plus hot) but it's okay, what really matter is... let's have rock n roll!

Oh yeah! The purpose of this Femme Fest is to warfare sexism and inequality among human being. It is also one of ways to provide a platform especially women to express their ideas through their music and arts. So, GIRLSSS out there..come on, let's cramp out the place tonight!

Happy Friday everyone!
I’m starving now, waiting unwearyingly for 12.00pm. I need food for goodness sake.
Last night we had our dinner at Marche, since both of us were craving for the scrumptious cheese bacon Rostti and the flavorsome root beer. Yoyo joined us unexpectedly, since she was in Damansara last night.
Oh, It’s good to know that Yoyo finally got the job. She will start work next week, yay!

Anyway, I’m worried about him.
We’ve been through a lot since the past few days.
I hope everything will be ok soon.

Hello.

Yesterday we have to called off the jamming session.

So, we ended up esembled at food not Bomb official house somewhere in PJ.

They just shifted there last week, and after this all the FNB activities will be stationed there. No more cooking session at CM. Well, the house is quite big, it's an old single storey bungalow. The kitchen is big, and the best thing about the house is, there's a playground in front of the house. The community mostly comprises of old folks, so, it's quite comforting and quiet.

Anyways, the gigs on 6th July is off.

We were asked to cancel it.

It's all because the same old problem that they have created. Religion excuses, which they use as their weapon really bores me.

Friday Night, 27.6.08
Lots of things to be reconciled at the office. Went back home late, and felt wasted on the road. Had a mouthwatering beef lasagna & vanilla tea for dinner at Strudels with my dear one.

After dinner that night, Yo and I (only both of us, my partner couldn't make it) went to Bangi for my sister's dance show and we got lost! It’s all because we missed one junction, at Jalan Istana, and ended up using different highway. And another mistake we made, we took Kajang exit, and ended up driving around Kajang town (which I'm not really familiar), and tried to figure out how to go to Bangi, by following all the signboards. Noen waited for us at Uniten, for almost an hour. I called Sue, a friend who studying at Uniten for direction, but still failed. Finally, we got out from Kajang town, using PLUS highway to KL, make a U-turn, and took Bangi exit. I called my sister for a help, and thanks to Yo for being a good co-pilot that night. We finally managed to stopped by at Uniten (to lead Noen’s way), and directly went to Petronas Training Centre in Bangi.

Erm, it was a dance competition, a lot of teams participated and the best part was, Harith Iskandar was the emcee for that night. Oh, we had so much fun.

We went back home around 12.00am, and I have to sleep early to save my energy for the next day.

Saturday, 28.6.08
On Saturday, I got up early in the morning. Had Fried Maggi and iced tea ‘o’ for breakfast at Annexe, CM with my partner. After breakfast, a friend told us that the van that we supposed to hop in was full, so, the two of us have to take bus to Penang. To me, our friend should have tells us earlier, so that we could book bus ticket 2-3 days earlier. Plus it was a school holidays. I dont think its easy to get bus ticket on that time.

We rushed to Puduraya, we checked every counter but no tickets available. It was 9.30am on that time, and suddenly one of the ‘ulat’ came to us and he was trying so hard to sell his RM40 bus ticket to Penang to us. My partner bought it anyway, and he told me that he has to, or otherwise, the two of us will be extra late to arrive Penang.

The ‘ulat’ guy said the bus will be departed at 10am at Platform 16, so, we’ve waited there and when it’s almost 10, one guy told us to walk, out of Pudu, and while walking we kept our fingers cross, hope to get a good-conditioned bus (an actual bus, not a school bus).

Luck was not on our side. It was a school bus with a red-shabby curtain, and we departed from Pudu really late, at 10.45am. To comfort myself, I told my partner that both of us should be thankful, even though it was a school bus, it still got air-cond. We slept as the bus began to heads off…

Several hours later, I woke up because I started to feel sizzling. It was so damn hot, my partner told me that the air-cond was not functioning. DAMN!

All the seats started to make noise, kind of annoying reverberation on the bumpy road. Despair, both of us kept chit chatting, tried to ignore the noise of the seats and the hot sauna ambience. I realized, it takes time to kill time.

At 3.30pm, we arrived at the Jetty, the weather was extremely HOT. Tom called us; he said they were already at the Jetty. We met them on the ferry, and they asked us to squeeze into the van. They kept laughing, when we told them about the bus. Yeah, it was quite funny experience, anyway. Even both of us burst into laughs.

The gig took place at wisma Oh Kongsi, about 5 minutes from the jetty. A lot of bands were playing that day. We had a lot of fun, tho. We had Nasi Kandar (superb Nasi Kandar) after the sound check.

Oh yeah. I met my beloved friend, Naz. She's actually one of my best friends when I was studying in Sarawak, few years ago. She's now married, got one lovely baby girl, named Nia. They just moved back to Malaysia after spent 2 years in the United States. Naz and her husband fetched me and we had chendol, a nice chit chat and after that, they sent me back to Wisma Oh Kongsi. When I arrived Wisma oh Kongsi, C.Dung was about to start. Lucky I dont miss their show.

Oh yeah. I love the Aussie band, CRUX. Their music was good. After the gig, we hang out and later, we went to the Indian Food Stall for vege-meal. Fendi, my partner and I had Tandoori Chicken for our dinner. Simply delicious!

At 11pm, we headed back to KL. All of us squeezed into Manan's Estima (8 of us plus guitars and other music equipment). It was really tiring, we've got not enough space and we have to take turn to sleep. Fendi made everyone laugh when he translates every songs' title and bands name to Malay (direct translation, it was really funny. Modern Talking to Percakapan Moden?). We arrived KL at 3.00am. Exhausted, but really amuzing.

Sunday, 29th June 2008
Woke up at 12pm.

Exhausted, but I have to since my tummy asked me to do so.
Had Nasi Lemak Ayam for brunch at Uptown, and went to Cat Whiskers for some clothes.
At 4pm, I went to central market to help ‘Food not Bomb’ team. Thilaga asked me to cook vege-curry, Hana prepared her ‘ulam’ salad, and also, they fried some mixed vegetables to serve the homeless folks.

It was a bit hectic because we were run out of cooking gas. We bought a new one but it was too late. The curry was not done yet, so they just served the fried mix vege & hana’s salad with rice.
At 8.00 I had my dinner at Ampang with my sister and friend.
Slept at 11.30pm,tired, but happy.

Seven Samurai and Ton of Food

My lip hurts! I can’t laugh, I can barely talk, and it feels like burning. Nothing to do with any domestic violence. No one bit my lips and no food allergy involved.

It happened 3 days ago, when I started to feel itchy on my lips, and I am sure it's because of the lip gloss that I have applied on, before I went to work which I haven’t used it for quite a long time. At the office, I keep scratching the whole day, and when I arrived home, I discovered one tiny rounded shape watery inside thingy planted on my lips. At first, I don’t care about that doodad, but after it explodes on the next day, my lips turned to be horror, so I started to freak out. All I wanted to do now is, go to the pharmacy and get whatever cream that the consultant recommends, so that this stupid ‘doodad’ goes away soonest possible.

Huh! Last night we went to carefour to buy dinner. We were starving and atrted to be greedy. So, we bought 1 pack of macaroni and cheese, half bird of roasted chicken, a handful of potato wages, nasi lemak for himself, a cup of hot mushroom soup and a tall stick of garlic bread. At home, while enjoying our dinner, we watched DVD “Seven Samurai”. It was actually a Japanese movie based on a true story back in early 40s. The story was about the unfortunate farmers that need to find way to stop a gang of bandits from embezzling their rice. On that time, rice is very important, and it is more valuable than money.Can you imagine, they even trade flour, wheat and sake for a bowl of rice. Samurai is the warrior that usually hired by the villagers to fight the bandits from taking over their village. If the samurai wins the battle, villagers will give him some percentage of the food production, land and money.

The story begins when 3 of the villagers ran from their village to the nearest town, to look for samurai that can fight for them with a good bargain. To make it short, they found a guy that willing to fight for them for free, but under one condition. He needs 7 samurai, including him to fight the bandits. The guy’s face is similar to my partner’s boss and we laughed when one of the samurai, really looks like Khir Toyo (our former Selangor MB). Haha. Good movie. You should watch it.

Oh yeah. Im going to Penang tomorrow for Dalca Fest. Yeahh. I cant wait for that :) Anyways, I'll update later!

I don't know why I should have this blog.

I am quite busy at the office recently. Some data survey to be done, and a lot of deadlines to keep in track. The purpose of this data survey is actually to upgrade Company's 'Compensation & Benefits' and to set benchmark with the Big Boys in the Industry. It's quite tiring to liaise with the HR departments from other subsidiaries to gather all the information.

OK. Forget about work for a jiffy,

Huh. Can't wait for 5.30pm. Can't wait to meet Yo and Noen tonite. Can't wait to have a good dinner (probably we'll gonna have Indian food on banana leaf,) and a good chat with the girls.

My sister is working in Bangkok now until this Friday. I'm not goin home tonight, gonna crash my friend's place, perhaps. Oraits, gotta go! Chioww.
